Biggest Memory Problem | Where My Storage ?

Have you ever Noted that whenever you buy a Memory card, pen drive or even a HDD.
Storage will be about 4GB,16Gb,32 GB ,500 Gb,1 Tb.

But whenever you checked it's capacity it's shows lower amount.
For Eg:  A 500 GB has 465.7 GB Approximate Storage.
Ever Wonder where the remaining space.

Than Here the Solution.

According to Computer Memory Units are following

8 bit            =  1 byte
1024 bytes  =  1 Killo Byte
1024 Kb      =  1 Mega Byte
1024 Mb     =   1 Gega Byte
1024 GB     =   1 Tera Byte

But in case of Manufacturers who made memory(HDD, pen-drive etc)
They just neglect the 24 from 1024 bytes. to reduce complex calculation.

Thus according to this phenomena

Lets Considered you have a 500 Gb Hdd then it's exact storage capacity will me get by following steps:

           GB       MB      KB
500 X 1000 X 1000 X 1000 / 1024 X 1024 X 1024 = 465.666 (465.7 round off)
